Subject: »[update] Improve tactics

You can't do this because of the way it works under the hood.

It's a weird system.

When you send a player to a different position, you are not really sending the player there, you swapping positions, 4 became 6, and 6 became 4.
So, Matt Weddle never became "position 6 player." Position 4 and position 6 swapped places, and Matt Weddle remained a position 4 player, and that is why Fănică Băcanu never filled in the the gap in the defense, because the gap was position 6 after the swap.

Before the swap:
1 Davor Jagar GK
2 George Mădălin Boca DEF
3 Péter Náray DEF
4 Matt Weddle DEF
5 Feliks Siestrzewitowski DEF
6 No player DEF
7 Fănică Băcanu MID

After the swap:
1 Davor Jagar GK
2 George Mădălin Boca DEF
3 Péter Náray DEF
6 No player DEF
5 Feliks Siestrzewitowski DEF
4 Matt Weddle DEF
7 Fănică Băcanu MID

I think it works like this because of the training system. Since the training system is gonna change, maybe this will as well. I think they even said that they are gonna improve these things.

I don t think of works that way tbh...
Cause when a player is swapped to another order position, the order changes too resulting in a switch of training. My opinion is that because when your nr 6 got injured, the condition is stacked in order, so he checkes number 4 before number 6. No problem... Then number 4 switches to nr 6 and the condition stack comes at his end...so no swap for a new nr 4

These are conditions that work onward from minute 1.
By your logic, no swap would happen at all, because the conditions would be checked off in the first minute.

You don't need to have an opinion, you can easily check it in a friendly or arcade.
I tested this long time ago, so I am pretty sure it work the way I said. But just in case I made a mistake, you can test it.

Make an experiment with your defenders, let's say they are positioned like this:
1 - 2 - 3 - 4
A - B - C - D
Positions 2 is in the center, position 1 on the side.
Tell player A to go to position 2, then tell played D to go to position 2, and see where is player D gonna go, center or side.

it would be pretty easy to implement. just "make" tactic numbers solid. player from place 4 moved to place 6. he is now 6. there is no player on place 4. execute CO if there is no player on place 4. easy.

need 200 different tactical options. Do not need many more in between than input for changes.

Proposal of the process of creating tactics

I) Choose formation
II) Set playing style

Depending on the formation and playing style you choose, Sokker tactics will be generated. This tactics should be playable, not like current default tactics

III) Modify generated tactics
IV) Set individual orders

In most games, you have steps I, II and sometimes IV. There is a missing link between what you set and how it actually affects the performance on the pitch.

Sokker has big competetive advantage because of the tactics editor and step III. But setting step I and step II has to be done manually now and it is a pain. The process of creating tactics should be user friendly. And I think that my proposal would help with that massively.

@slavista in most games the way you do the tactics is not important :(

here is essential every detailed im for simplifying the process
but not for automated generation maybe copy past multiple squares etc but yes but
auto generating tactics no

I believe that automated generation is absolute must if you want to make general upgrade of the game and attract new users. Current tactics creating system is seriously outdated and small upgrades like copy-past multiple squares won't solve the problem

I think that the key would be to make these generated tactics so they have a certain standard and are viable on their own even without changes but there should be left a room for a lot of improvement in step III so good tacticians still retain their edge over others in this aspect of the game.

this completely will change the game the beauty of this game is not fast play just load and generate easy tactics... its the time you spend to create the tactics your own way. Giving easy spoon to all is another step against people that do not have budget for strong teams and do not spend time on market to still play as equal with best teams.
2020-08-20 12:25:33
Time spend on creating tactics is time wasted now. Most of the time it is exhausting and annoying slave's work. Instead the layout should be predefined and time spend on tactics should be mainly about applying tactical skills.

where is the beauty of the game when vast majority of users use the same tactics all season long? There is none. I dont feel it takes much skill to prepare a countertactics against someone when I am 100% sure what he is going to play. This is your easy spoon actually

+1, tactic is one of the best things and make the difference with other games, if you give facilities, tactics will be less important and strong teams will always win.

Tactics should be improved in different way like the possibility of changing orders with additional tactic, or rehearsed moves in set piece (corners, fouls...).

If you really want to compete in top level, you need to edit tactics and that's the reason why we watch rival matches.
It's the beauty.
