Subject: [change] Trading reform
The taxes make things more complicated to understand, especially for the new users. We should keep the game smooth.
But I like the idea to slow down the time before to be able to resell but without any fixed time.
It means an user who rarely buy/sell should be able to resell a player very quickly as it is now so only the frenetic traders will be impacted.
This plus the 2 ideas already discussed (Arcade games and Squad limit) should improve the game experience without over complicating the rule and the coding of the game.

I am not sure some of you realize how the current system works.
If the bug with arcade matches was fixed then:
1, it would give absolutely no advantage to own more than 25 players (unless you had many players injured) - So what is the point of any restriction on maximal number of players?
2, users would still have the possibility to sell players in short term, but only occasionally.
3, if someone wanted to daytrade, he just could not. The restriction would be so limiting that repeated daytrading would not just be possible. If you have many sales lately, player needs to play up to +-6 games in your team. And often you can play the player only once a weeks.
I think this makes any other restrictions unnecessary.

+1
I believe that the devs must then establish the right balance, but on table there is:
-max number of player
-minimum period of stay of a player in the team
-tax reselling

this leads to nowhere, you just repeat the same and same again, taking no consideration of any other arguments
I am also interested in the reasoning for player limit.
What is the point?
I also can't stress enough, how bad of an idea it is to prohibit trade for 5-8 weeks, as people are proposing.
You get a few injuries, and you need a new player for a couple weeks. You buy him, after few weeks you sell him. That is a completely normal thing in sokker, and some people want to ban that. Killing a fly with a grenade.
I think higher taxes for reselling are a better idea because... freedom.
Everyone should be able to sell player whenever they want.
But just fixing arcade exploit is better than 5-8 weeks trading bad.

I don't see anything illegal in having a lot of players in squad. If someone wants to pay 40 players every week, that's his problem.
the problem is try to limit "wild trading" which unbalances the game
example:
there is someone who can control the market every day, connect 20 times a day, buy only players under cost, get 50-60 in squad (do not buy it to use them or to train them) and immediately sells them only for make capital gain. In doing so, taking advantage of this "bug" of the game, after a year he has the money to buy super players and wins without any merit.
We fight against that. in that perspective, a limit to the number of players I think is useful, then if the majority does not like it, it will not be done ;-)

Maybe we can also limit number of incoming transfers in day/week/season.
I think this is mostly envy :)
I agree with what slavista wrote some posts above... Just the arcade bug repaired and that's it!

Then propose a bug fix, reselling ban for whatever weeks, dont complicate things with some player limits.

Make it so a player needs at least 2 matches before he can be sold again...
Buying players without letting them play ever is imo against the filosophy of the game. 8 weeks is much too long indeed, cause it often happens managers buy players to fill a gap for injured players. 2 games is imo a normal "restriction" for selling players.

For me, another important "anti-traders" misure is the introduction of rewards (proportional) for victories and league placing, and any other modification that will value the results on the field.
