Subject: [idea] Youth Structures

2020-04-26 12:00:19
The demand is potentially very high and the offer of good distribution juniors is very low (around 5%); prices are not that far to decrease ^^ And i don't count the 1% (millions €) top distribution juniors where - what a surprise - prices never decrease over the time, Less skills and more and more millions for this.

But its not just about "sellable" youths, just good youngs you can add and train to your own team for example home-made team.

A lot of youths are good distribution just not perfect distribution. Most youths are trainable, and all making them more perfect in distribution does is give a higher starting point. This in turns means there are more youths trying to be sold at the higher starting point, but because everyone has that, they become worthless.

I just can't see how this is helpful. It is basically a "power creep" of the football manager world.

I wouldn't mind if just this highest primary was taking in to consideration, and that was displayed in the youth school (as you still wouldn't know how good they were, whether they'd come out with a good distribution for that skill, or what their talent was), but I think this just pushes the boundary too far.

what about the idea of juniors training? is it worth a consideration?

I'm sure if it was done right it could be.

Maybe you could have everything as it is now, but have an order like DEF/MID/ATT/GK which made their skills increase with a slight increase towards primaries in those positions.

You would then still have to be able to identify if the player is likely a DEF/MID/ATT in their match based on ratings etc. (so still keeping the management side in play), but you would have some control over how they came out.

It's a lot of work for a small benefit, but it could separate good from great managers.

thanks

I like your idea better than mine.

+1

is what I said several times in this forum.

we want to give an advantage who do this job? who is great rather than good manager?

Please

I have an idea that would have a fundamental impact on the management&strategy part of the game, and have an effect on youth system as well.

Let there be 5 parts of the game:
- senior player training
- youth team training
- marketing (impact on ticket and sponsor revenues)
- match performance (impact on match performance)
- doctors (impact on reducing injury risk and speed up healing)

Imagine that all parts have a quality level that can be varied between 1 to 6.

An unearthly trainer in the old system may equal to 6 points and an excellent trainer may equal to 1 point in this proposal, while let the present default settings of marketing, match performance and doctor levels be also 6 points.
Overall the maximum is 5*6=30 points.

The trick: if every team is allowed to assign a maximum of 20 points, then even teams in the top divisions must make very hard decisions. For example, with full focus on the match performance, doctors and marketing (3*6 points), the team is not able to train properly (2*1 point, = excellent senior and youth coach).

Of course this model can be expanded by maintenance costs (linear or exponential from 1 to 6), and restructuring costs (to encourage long-term planning instead).

This idea can be familiar to those who have played Hattrick, but I’m no against introducing tried and tested solutions even if they come from a competitor.

That's a ridiculous, they are already worthless. We all know that most of youths are un-valuable, untrainable. Or in other words we ALREADY can buy them for 1€ massively on market, not need a Y.S that cost money for almost zero benefice (we compare our Y.S economic bilan for 7 to 15 seasons in FR from we all know that Y.S is just ... for fun NT and fun home-made team).

-1, talent is everywhere if you do this, you will bias more in favor of bigger teams

Yes achmid, I agree with that, But the junior must progress more when he is at his natural position, this could be the good way
And I would add : each team must have at minimum one GK for 20 juniors( by example).
in youth league some teams play without a GK and this is not fair.

I think this idea is really good and should not be forgotten. It brings the element of strategy to the total random youth school system.

New juniors will arrive to youth school with the same skills as nowadays but you will able to influence their training and thus final skill distribution by choosing the right training for them. You can choose between GK/DEF/MID/ATT/GENERAL training for every junior. Default option would be the general training (same as nowadays). Your junior would be trained more on the skills of chosen position. With a risk of choosing wrong position but a reward if you choose the right training plan.

You could still promote junior like this (17y brilliant) if you have choosen ATT training for player that was supposed to be a MID. But it would not be the result of a complete randomness but of your bad strategic decision.

The total random junior system is such a pain in this game. I wish that just things that don't work (like juniors system) were fixed and some minor improvements were made instead of making the game look-alike many already existing managers. If you know any other good manager, you can tell me. I might switch the game.
