Subject: [idea] Youth Structures

2020-04-25 10:54:41
well, if u don't understand ...

Let's be more direct maybe.

I'm against this proposal :

1) That's typically a 'pay for more' feature proposal (this topic) ! This never help small teams, NEVER, just pay more and get better chances.
2) It's just BORING. like stadium grass: pay and forgot; improving a Y.S just by paying MORE is not challenging.

I m really agree to change the Y.S system and making it less random... But really not like that !

So why don't we all have magic coaches?
2020-04-25 11:03:40
I do not say that my idea is not to be reviewed but I have tried to focus the attention of the developers on the management of youth teams. It was just an example like focus "let's change youth" and add functionality.

For the fact that the best teams must have the same odds as the low teams it seems hypocritical because in every browser game as in reality who is at the top has advantages and is the reason why you are committed to leveling up

1) I am ok with "pay for more" attitude. You pay for better coaches to get better training. You pay for better players to have a better result. You pay for a better youngsters to train better players. You pay for a bigger stadium to have bigger attendance and income. Why not pay more for a junior school to have higher quality youth academy?

2) This is a pretty good point. I just paid for Angel grass and I don't have to care about pitch maintenance anymore. I would even forget there is something like this. I would appreciate if someone come up with an idea how to bring more strategy to youth school management.

3) And just to clarify the things. I want to help the beginners with their starting position (I already proposed that in other topics) but I don´t want to help weaker old teams with bad management to reduce the gap between them and top teams.
2020-04-25 11:15:06
You are un realistic :-) We need more than 10 seasons to reach top Leagues and reduce gaps. And it's not about challenging, but years of (only) training and trading to reach a better level! I know top players that play a fresh new start with another team for the challenge : they can't do that in 10 seasons in medium countries, for sure.

You point realism (new comers need times to reach a better level, ok fine, right...) but IRL, did we have multi millionaires clubs uncompetitive in low divs? no. That's not realistic.
2020-04-25 11:26:07
You're talking against your own points at the moment...
You say new clubs should be closer to bigger teams, but it's not realistic to be as rich as older clubs at all...

Nobody says new teams should be in the basement and older clubs on top of a skyscraper.
But at least give new teams a decent time to build in order for them to be able to enter the building, at least...
Otherwise they'll be crushed and a higher % will give up...
2020-04-25 11:28:31
Ah... I see what you ment with "multimillionaires in lower divisions"

Totally agree! I've pointed that out in my new topic! Pro Team Licence

So why don't we all have magic coaches?

Well im not against 'a pay for more'. Its ok but :

1) Its Boring and not challenging.

YES I will spend all my millions for level 10 for 10% ! its a win win, no real risk (because hey im already millionaires ! ). One alternative could be scouting, spending time evaluate by ourself juniors, spending time looking at more stats, times to test a young on different positions. But the proposal ? The only game UX is : can i pay more or not for Y.S, or spend my money elsewhere? That's a financial game and less and less a football management challenge in that case.

2) 'Pay for more' features is NEVER challenging for new comers, Its always like real "pay2win premium" feature.

it's not realistic to be as rich as older clubs at all.

Old clubs are not rich if they are uncompetitive for decades ! that's should be realism. (well irl, clubs only need multi-millionaires owner investment, i know i know... : )

I was speaking in general in which I should've clearified more on "old competitive clubs" indeed...
That's why I proposed money freezing teams shouldn't be able to "sit" on their money and be able to be competitive on the highest divisions in 2 seasons...

People should be able to do what they want with their money as they earnt it in the first place. Just because you aren't patient to build up any money shouldn't mean you should handicap teams that are.
2020-04-25 12:01:16
Not handicap... Only I should withold teams to play on the high divisions without some restrictions.
All teams in the higher divisions need licenses to be able to play and in order for those teams to receive the licence, they need to fulfill in certain demands... Higher divisions should in return also get more sponsoring and revenue as lower teams...

It's not logical at all for teams to play in 4th class with a great stadium and have more revenue income than teams in 1st class...
2020-04-25 12:13:24
It's not the same in all countries though.
I'm in England and I can assure you that in L3 (so only 2 levels off the top level) it doesn't matter how big your stadium is as none of your opponents have any fans so you are seriously losing out by not being in the PL. Every team in the PL would be getting more money than me right me.

The "Pro License" idea I don't like at all though (sorry).

One of the things about these types of online games (and I've played a few over the years) are the simpler you keep them the better they are. The ones which try and be "too clever" with putting these hoops in place that you need to go through just become annoying and people leave instead.

2020-04-25 12:17:37
I haven't seen lots of managers stay over the last 10 years, but I've seen heaps and heaps leave...
There has to happen something in order for that to reverse back up.

It's an "idea", you clearly don't believe in. That's why not all ideas are implemented right away, luckily...
2020-04-25 14:19:48
I see two main problems with the current youth system: a)it's not very interesting as the manager has no influence over training, and b)it's too random as you either get youth players you can sell for millions or no usable ones at all.

An idea could be to allow the manager to train and scout mainly DEF, MID, ATT or GK. Possibly have a way to reveal some skills of youth players. And reduce randomness, for example by having youth players come out with a better skill distribution.
2020-04-25 14:27:00
yep great idea like every week some skills of some players to be revealed after training update
