Subject: [idea] Players personality and automatism / Team mood

Hello,

1) What do you thing about implementing some kind of players personality like it is done in Football Manager (at least the ones which make sense for a game like Sokker). Each player would have ONE personality attribute only. For example : Pressure, Determination, Leader, etc... can have an effect on how the player is behaving during a match.

2) In addition to the fan mood, we could have also a Team mood, linked with both the team results and the personality of the players (Easily discouraged, Unambitious, etc...). This would impact the match results and the form attribute we currently have would only reflect the player sharpness (A player needs to play to keep his form high but too many games will decrease the form in the other side)

3) Last, we could implement some automatism between the player according to their personality and how long they are playing together. This would impact the match results but I know the tactical discipline we have now is something already quite similar.

Thanks for reading !

I don't really am a fan of making sokker too much like other sokker manager games.
You always have to keep in mind that it needs to be implemented in a 2D-player and it has to have an influence on how players react. I just don't think things like pressure, determination, leadership or other personality types would be visible.

Those ideas would be good ideas if sokker would be a manager game based only on text or if this game would have the capabilities of football managers. I don't think the sokker DEVS have the same possibilities as SEGA, so I guess it's just a little too optimistic to think they could implement such things.

It's a bit like what they did with the weight and BMI, wich has such a small influence that most people almost forgot it excisted.

edit: If they could make it that it would be visible, then it could be an improvement. Maybe it's something that can be implemented, but it won't be in the near future.

Maybe something for the future. First the basics need to be fixed, as many of that still needs tweaking or completely be redone.

I don 't think sokker needs to add new traits to players or change anything about skills right now. I think it is important for sokker to keep its face and simplicity and not to try to copy Football Manager. I don't think there is need to be as complex game as Football Manager which is trying to be as close to real world managment as possible.
I think this game just needs to figure out things that are not working properly ( form, youth school, maybe later on trying to figure out how to make friendlies more attractive and change training in a way it is not dependent on if the player played a friendly (stayed in corner whole game :D)

That's what I meant, first things first

I would rather suggest some way to give psychological orders to the team on how to face the matches:

- Take it easy: decreasing the number of cards and injuries in exchange of a worst performance of the team. This could be the preferred order for friendly games, avoiding this way the "players on the corner" tactic

- Normal game: just like it is currently

- Put your life on the pitch: just the opposite

This has a collateral effect: what's the limit of an easy game? This could lead to some extra surprises on overconfident managers

In HT it was too effective. And what's more, the benefits were accumulated week by week. I wouldn't like something such artificial like that

Every aspect of the game is potentially a way of cheeting

but this idea is very lightly to use that to play hard against "rivals" and play "easy" against friends
and imagine this on NT level ..

what if we could give our best players a nick-name. when it is sold, it may be changed or left.
