Subject: [Change] delete age of coaches
I think it looks dumb, coaches of 80+ years old.
The most easy way to solve this, delete the age of coaches. Age has no use anyway for coaches.

delete age of coaches ? :P
Why not retire them when they are >70-75 ? :) Information at the beginning of season that after season coach will retire.
ps. in rules:
Your coach is a human being, at some moment he may finish his coaching career. Do not be surprised when your aged coach hands you his notice and leaves for well-deserved retirement in Bermuda.
Probably greg forgot about this option :P

+1
The worst would be to implement the possibility to retire for the coach.
Because some of us spent a lot of money to get some old coaches knowing they wouldn't retire anyway....

As i told somewhere here, like players, their skills and salary could down during they were older ... And so a coaches will fire them when they will be too old because too weak ...
I'm so used to the old ages I completely missed that part of retiring :/
That would be even better.
And start with coaches that are fired at the age of 70+, delete these instead of going to transferlist.
From 70 there should be an increase of 10% chance he will retire after that season, up to 100% at 80.

That's also a good option, just as players getting older and loose skills.

I think that coaches without age are dumb as well as +100yr coaches. That is not a viable solution
Either all coaches should retire at the same age (with the same skills since beginning) or their skills could drop since certain age and they should retire older.
I probably prefer the second option because pop downs in skills are enough motivation to hire a new coach before there is a risk that the old coach retires and the user stays without any coach.
Plus all coaches that are currently older than 80years should retire in x weeks so users have enough time to hire new coaches

i think best is coaching skills should diminish after specific age so retiring them will be natural and will balance bit economy but before implement that i think we need better way to hire new coaches
For a number of reasons, I actually prefer the original suggestion. Simply remove the coaches age and leave it as it is.
I don't think it's fair on some people who might have recently spent £2m+ on an unearthly coach only to be told in x weeks time he'll be worth nothing ... if they had known that were a possibility they clearly wouldn't have bothered.

agree with you i do not even mind having coach 100y + :)
+1 I think I spent 6M€ on my ET coach with decent salary1 year an half ago, I would never put this amount of money if I knew the coach would retire.
Or maybe they could give a financial compensation in case a coach is retiring.

Coaches definitely need to retire at some point.
Having to hire a new coach will take some money out of the game economy. The game needs that.
I am in favor of simplicity here, just retire them at the age of 75, with couple of notifications during the season.
There is absolutely no reason to complicate this with skill drops. Hell no!
