Subject: [GD] League system - reorganisation
Oh, that is a league. My bad.
But who are you playing against though?
That would have a weird matchmaking. I don't see the appeal of paying in the league with random people, and then never playing with them again.

I also like days matching match types. That is the main reason I have chosen option A, but now I think it might not necessarily be so important, because if user experience will be improved it should be far easier not to mistake match types/days/etc.
well I would prefer if there were no play offs but direct promotions/relegations only. But this is possible in in x2 division system (1st place promotion, 7th and 8th place relegation), not in the current x4 (when there are 4x more leagues in every lower division)
Agree.
It would be cool if other countries can vote on their system. I know that Poland needs 4 second leagues, but other countries don't.

Well playing with random people and then never playing with them again is the case of International Cup proposed by Dev.
The International League would have the same system as domestic leagues nowadays. There would be One big International league for all the clubs in the game. They would simply compete trying to get at the top. It would be a separate competition independent on domestic league performance.
If there are inactive users in your domestic league, maybe you will find friends in your international league.
It could be organized like this:
1st Div: 1 league = 8 teams
2nd div: 4 leagues = 32 teams (40 totally)
3th div: 16 leagues = 128 teams (168 totally)
4th div: 64 leagues = 512 teams (680 totally)
5th div: 256 leagues = 2 048 teams (2 728 totally)
6th div: 512 leagues = 8 192 teams (13 688 totally)
7th div: 2 048 leagues = 16 384 (30 072 totally)
Some users requested the Continental International competition. Perhaps teams from the same continental association could be gathered in the same leagues somehow, especially on the lower levels. But I didn't give it much thought.

Why do you want auto-loading? It currently has a save by default.
Auto-load is boring because we want people to be changing tactics, making it interesting, showing how good a manager they are, not just how long they have been in the game.
Why do we want it to be exclusive on days? Because otherwise it is confusing. Confusion leads to people leaving and new people not sticking around

This is the problem with the DEVS idea, the one you keep going on about being good, but it is a cup.
Slaviska is talking about a league, so you will get to know them.
And if set match types are on set days, we don't need the game telling us what is next, we already know. We are trying to help both current and new users. Having it all over the place will not help either.

Imagine the new season starts at week 1 on Friday.
Monday-Sunday display of days in the week is for the sake of clarity.

Currently it uses your cup set-up for the next league match and vice versa. That also leads people to leave.
We need auto-loading for when people forget to set up the lineup, or don't log in that week.

I am saying that you are gonna play one season with those random people and probably never again.
It won't be much fun, people won't understand each other, no rivalries are gonna exist.

Why would they not get to know them? They are in a league, only 3 teams maximum will move. In the cup system it will be new people every time
An option where you don't get completely new random league.
That is interesting, especially, as you said, for the people in countries with low number of users.
Continental sounds even better, maybe regional.
Ohh, Balkan League. We would call it Rakija League :D
Don't know how I feel about all of it. But definitely worth considering.

Not very happy to have a option only with a saison with 12 weeks. I wished 14 or 16 weeks. But 12..., not very happy with this DEV's decision...
Now it isn't a decision, luckily, it's just an instance. Devs are open to discuss about 14 weeks, too.
So I agree with you, but the situation is not that bad at the moment.

Yes, but -3 weeks is also a too big change, I guess. That's why 14 weeks is maybe the best compromise between the 16 and 12 weeks.
(All with that, 13 week sounds a little bit better than 12, but worse than 14 for me. The final version will be accordingly to the number of matches/week and maybe the number of the teams in the leauge.)
