Just to help answer the league cup from how I read it (but could be wrong).

The league cup isn't for everyone out of the national cup, but rather for everyone within that division out of the cup.

Do Div 2 and Div 3 will have separate league cups.

BUT I could also interpret it as, all teams knocked out of the national cup, except for those in the top division (that are knocked out), participate in the league cup.

Either way, I think it probably helps fix your fears of the league cup - but there were the two possible interpretations I got from the DEV post.

without international playoff we could have something like 6 groups per 10 teams. After 9 matches we make table of tables and start with 1/32 which will start in week 10(iso 8) until week 14. Table of table teams 33-60 we add 4 top teams from lower division and they play same system so all positions are determined at the end.
Total number of teams relegated (two or three teams)*number of groups. Same number is promoted. So for top league that can be 12 or 18 teams ouf of 64 that were playing knock-out phase. So you can lose 2-3 matches and still to remain in top league.
Those 4 teams that joined in knock out phase could earn already they promotion if they continue playing good from (win in first two matches in higher level) and then from lower division you add more teams at the end 12 or 18.

level 1- 6 groups (1 isolated cup) total 12 or 18 teams out
level 2- 24 groups (4 isolated cups) 12 or 18 teams in, 48 or 72 out
level 3- 96 groups (16 isolated cups) 48 or 72 in, 192 or 288 out
level 4- 384 groups (64 isolated cups)...
level 5- 1536 groups (256 isolated cups)...

Level 5 contans total number of teams same level 5 from proposal with playoffs.

Its puzzling because it says something like if you are still in national cup, then you cant play league cup. Then who will play separate division cups if you dont have enough teams. And top division in some contry is top level, in some other its more levels then one. Its not very clear, but also option about start league cup can be the moment when national cups narrow down to top 32. So for some countries will be week 3, some other will be week 7.

And for 60-odd countries, there won't be a single human manager in the league cup.

This is why I don't like the league cup, because it really only helps a minority of countries.

Correct. And if you say only humans will be selected, still it could be chance that only 1 human is in league cup so he is winner yeee :)

League cup from DEV is a way to give small team chance to either play more games or win something. Lets asume more games, then they could be playing cup without top division teams and these top teams will join later. So for most of the leagues can be 3 division start cup (96 clubs) and they play 2 games(they come down to 24 teams) then 1st and 2nd division joins (24+40=64). From that point to winner.
And for countries with higher number of users and leagues we can move this moment of top teams joins the cup.

If the goal is also to win something, then division cups first after we have winner etc we go with national cup which include all teams that didnt play division, teams that came to top 4/8/16 or any number in division cup, or by ranking or wild cards...

League cup could still be improved with a continental cup, but otherwise it is perfect.

League cup could be renamed to something like the Beginner cup and in big countries, it could be national and in smaller countries, it could be a merge of several small countries from the region.

Would be nice to hear opinions of Devs. We didn't not receive much information about the future look of National cup and I would like to know what they think about this proposal at all, so we can possibly make some adjustments.

I have also developed a "No Qualification Structure" for the International competition, which could be used in place of qualification matches if people would prefer this, so that the International competition moves faster between leagues, but personally, I prefer the International structure proposed

I thought about the non-play-off variation and I don't think it works with our system. I would prefer the system that encourages people to compete for each position until the end of the season. And that is the system with the play-off. You should fight for every position because you usually get weaker opponents in the play-off the better position you finish at etc.

Anyway thanks for the feedback and support of the idea everyone. But it is still not enough. Most of the community doesn't participate in the discussion. They will only take part as voters of others' plans. Devs still did not give any opinion on this system. They probably just work on modifying their previous options which is what I expect they will present to us the next time.

Its kind of funny, with playoff you give opportunity to save the season of a team who played bad or even didnt fight for it complete season.

Games in league is one chance to prove yourself, then you have knock out rounds also to prove that you belong there. Playoff can save all defeats you had in season, while team from lower division will develop complex called "playoff game"

You want that DEVs consider this system as option, but you cant accept option that doesn't include playoff?

I am for a direct promotion of 1/4 of the best teams and play off for the remaining 3/4 (the current league system).

we cannot do much about x4 division system. Reducing it to x2 would lead to too many levels of divisions. And with x4 for every 1 team promoting directly, there are 4 teams relegating directly .. which is half of the league group.

it could work only if we raised the number of teams in a league (1 promoting and 4 relegating in 12 teams league would not be so harsh, but stil..) but this would require totally different system.

So it is not about accepting options but about the possibility of their implementation

We will use general idea of this calendar in upcoming poll, in first step we want to fix number of games per week and lenght of season (to be able to work further with training reform and detailed simulations) - and in the same time we will work about details of particular comeptitons and direct rules for them.

From our perspective (for now, there is place for discussion still) we rather dont want international cup/league with relegation/promotion system, to avoid creating alternative game vs. league structures. We rather think, that your league effort and your team level should be linked with place in international competition (as it is in real life).

But overall concept is quite good - dedicated days for each competition and shorter season, it meets our expectations and can be considered.
