Subject: [idea] What users really want

2020-05-27 17:53:51
Here in Brazil, everyone loved option 3.
2020-05-27 18:01:56
so you did the same survey if you talk about everyone in Brazil? Can I see the results?
2020-05-27 19:03:09
Seams like big countries like to compete internally and small ones don't.

2020-05-27 19:39:22
I have 15 more responses. They are mostly from less active users, so the results are not surprising

15-16 weeks IIIIIIIIII
14 weeks III

1league match IIIIIIIIII
2league matches III

3 of them wanted international competition, but they were afraid of too many matches in a week, so they voted for one league match option.

I think I could receive votes of approximately 120 users. Which is 30% of all users. Far more than I expected at the beginning.

I do similar research in Bulgaria i send messages on all 91 users for 2 days i have 33 responses around 10 users are about to become bots so its really high percentage. I still have 43 users that did not read their messages but here is current results.
Questions i asked are bit different:

1) How many games you can handle per week? a 2 б 3 в 4
a +6
б +25
в +2

Only two users want 4 games per week for now one of them added comment that will like that only if he has proper tools and he is type of person that do not spend much time on tactics

Next question is out of the box if we need shorten season we need to give up on one of the flowing options if we do not go with 4 games per week we need to chose . so question is
2) If you have to chose between increase of championship groups or new competition what you will prefer.
a ) increase of the team in championship b ) new competition
а +10
б +23
most people want new competition

3) Do we need rest week between seasons
a) yes b )
а +8
б +25
most people are ready to give up on this
4) How many games playoff games you wan a) 1 b) 2
а +11
б +22
most people want 2 games in playoffs two valuable comments of users if 1 game on neutral ground
second valuable comment if 2 games they have to be in same wake to not cause financial damage to teams that do not play playoffs.

There is a topic in the forum all results are per user and i have them stored in google sheet for reference as well. Will keep you posted for the new votes
Hope this helps to see what country into between small and medium size want...

thanks for your effort. The proportions are a bit different than in Czech republic/Slovakia, but the main message remains clear.

Option 1 - should be 2 league matches played on Sunday and Wednesday and national cups played on Friday, without International competition. Although I am not happy for teams in smaller countries/unattractive leagues, because this won't help their situation

Option 2 - has the International cup instead of the second League match on Wednesday. But it has a problem with the calendar guaranteeing only 1 match per week. This could be solved with the International cup system guaranteeing matches for the entire season. Although Devs obviously dislike this system.

I think that users who responded in favor of new competition (and thus 3matches per week) should be asked how this competition should look like. If they want a new competition that guarantees them official matches for the entire season or not.

Let's wait until tomorrow to see DEVs' voting results.
2020-05-28 09:04:02
the last poll took 3 weeks, I don't think we will have results tomorrow

"Seams like big countries like to compete internally and small ones don't."

This is because there aren't the numbers to compete internally. It's not that they don't want too, it's that they can't. But this is exactly my point, if you tailor the game to the big countries, you kill the small ones. If you do a system which works for both, then both survive.

From what I have read between yours and Slav's, it is very clear.

1. People only want 2 or 3 matches pr week.
2. People would prefer a new competition rather than just more matches in the national league
3. Most people want 15 or 16 week season, but would handle if it dropped to 14
4. People want a new training system that isn't linked to minutes played
5. Noone has strong feelings about keeping or removing the week off, but leaning towards removing it
6. There is a slight preference towards keeping the league size how it is
7. People would like 2 play-offs if it can be fit in with the schedule and not be a huge advantage, but not too fussed either

It is sad for you but this is obvious that the changes will be tailored for the big / medium countries and 80% of the users.

By the way this thread should rather be called "What users from Czech Republic and Slovakia really want"

I prefer to wait for the official results to see what the polish users think about the changes.
2020-05-28 10:56:00
Actually no, this is what users want.

There are concerns the polls are being manipulated by someone, and it is proving to be true. It is not Poland that is changing it, chances are they want what everyone else does.

These skmail ones are proving that what the poll said is incorrect due to some kind of manipulation (and I'm not talking about from Dev's as someone may try to miscontrue)

Maybe that is 80% of the users, but not 80% of the countries, and not 80% of the potential market. By keeping more countries involved, you keep more of the market open, which means more people buying plus.

Take Australia, it has one of the highest wages in the world, if you keep those people happy, you will have a higher rate of plus buying. In the past, all those I invited back, myself and Tribe, all had plus. Whilst half a dozen of us won't make a difference, it shows that being from such a country, there will be a high % of plus users. So if the DEVs are smart, and make sure they don't kill this country with poor ideas, then the country can grow, with a high proportion having plus, due to the high salaries.

So it really depends if they want to look to the future or not. If they do, you put in competitions that don't kill small nations, otherwise you are halving your potential market.

But hey, many businesses have died due to poor decision making from the top, and that is the right of the business owner. I will just keep providing advice based on what most users want, Slav and Svik will keep providing evidence of what people want (even if it goes against what they want), and if the DEVs choose to use an easily influenced poll, that is being manipulated, then that is their right to do so. There are plenty of other games out there I'm happy to spend my money on, and the same goes for many others

Do you think that Czech and Slovakian users are so specific that they would vote totally different than users from other countries?

Czech Republic is 8th biggest and Slovakia is 14th biggest country in sokeker. So these are the opinions of users from big/medium countries.
2020-05-28 11:01:31
When there are some big changes as the ones coming, everybody will have a reason to leave the game.
For example I find the international cup / league to be a stupid idea even if I understand this could be nice for Australian users.

At the end of the day, some users will leave, some others will join and sokker will survive, don't worry.

PS : You still can register in a medium country like France if you are not happy, you are welcome ;)
2020-05-28 11:07:37
I live in Prague and my girlfriend is slovak so I know you people and I am not surprised to see you vote like this ;)

Just joking :)
2020-05-28 11:28:32
But the difference is, you think it's stupid, but it wont ruin your sokker experience because you have a good national league experience.

Expanding the national league to two matches kills small nations because they don't have a good national league experience, so they will leave knowing that their chance for hope in it improving is gone.

So difference is, one way ruins the game for many countries, the other way doesn't change the experience for some but doesnt ruin it
