Although the outcome wasn't good, it was interesting to see the U21 players now being a part of the senior team.
A few things that I observed:

1) Nikhil was ineffectual on the wing. His tech is quite low for NT level and their defenders could easily take the ball away from him
2) Their wingers had plenty of space to make the runs and launch the ball
3) Their striker Sivertsson won the header so many times which was possible because of his height (188cm). The max height of our defenders is 181 cm (Munusamy)
4) Subbarayan seemed better than Surnilla on the same position
5) Suresh too didn't look very effective
6) Satwant could have probably started the game instead of Najeeb
7) Our defenders really struggled against their strikers and mids

Btw this is Nikhil during his last transfer. Noticed that his skills aren't there in the excel

Based on the discussion with Attila in the India Association forum, Baiju Saripella retires at the age of 36. He had a very good career as our striker for many seasons and scored many goals for our NT. He along with Gurpreet Nanga were a great pair due to whom we won many games. Now the mantle will be passed on to the other strikers waiting in the wings.
