Subject: [GD] 2D vs. 3D

and here we talking about time 4 games per week and we have to watch it in 2 different viewers at the end it comes to 2d or 3d so its 2d ....

I love a lot of things of this game, the tactics editor, the training system, the transfer system, etc.. It's great.

The fact that i can see some of its flaws does not mean I don't like it.

i want 3d to improve and develop but no as priority there are hundred other things that need to be fixed first and i will repeat it for hundred times it needs specific expertise from devs ...

ME is bad.
I would rather watch bricks running around and doing things that make sense than having great graphics with stupid gameplay.
Sokker doesn't compete with fifa, it competes with hattrick.

I just hope that they are not gonna waste too much time in this, like they did with 3D. This game got ruined when they decided to improve an element that was already amazing.

I'll repeat last time. You can't compare what gives you a good 3d viewer with current 2d or 3d. If you consider for fun 2d better than 3d I think you live in the past, and everyone should come back to the games of the past (it's like saying you don't want play station 5 to come out because you like more play station 1).
Everything nice about the new interface would be useless without the 3d. Imagine new users decorating the stadium the first day, and then watching a 2d game...for sure they will think a lot if they go back to login.

I like 2d because I can see tactics and I started to play in this game in year 2007. Possibly, if I hadn't found sokker at that time, I wouldn't be playing now because the graphics and viewers have been updated according to modern times and the people who see this now literally say me: "what a shit!". The first impression of this is terrible but we are used to see it like this, new users don't.

I like 2d because I was born with this, but you can't attract a lot of new users so, totally impossible. No one joins the game, you can check it easily. We will stay the same as always how it's happening.

@rapelo agree with that but putting all efforts on 3D and putting 2D with no maintenance means you give up on all that held sokker till now

@_james agree with you that ME needs fixes but its still best on web for such games so priority should be fixing those issues than polishing the 3D first ...

Agree, you are the only one who gives coherent answers. I hope that doesn't happen. Sokker's core must be kept but sincerely I think 2d needs only little retouchs.

And as I say, we aren't talking about 3d is a priority right now or put all the efforts into it but it's a very important part for the future of sokker.

People don't even use flash anymore, and you are talking some hypothetical nonsense about how people don't play the game because the 2D is outdated.
People were okay with waiting 5 days to get a team, with installing flash, with being completely lost in this guideless game, with waiting 5 minutes to watch a game... All of that was okay but the 2D, when they saw 2D, that is when they decided, "I'm not gonna play this." Yeah, right...

Most of them play football manager (I said them that's impossible to get it here, because for that is necessary a lot of budget). Others play managerzone or android games like pes club manager, Soccer Manager 2020 or top football manager. I have tried to recruit many people because I play football and I know a lot of people who likes these games and it's never possible. You only need to check users in our countries (it's terrible according with population, only with people around us would be possible to reach half of these numbers). Is it normal being sokker the best game of this type? Maybe today the appearance is everything to first opportunity. Most of current society look only appearance. For me the games that I tell you are boring and sokker is much better, but nobody joins here, why? For my part I told you that happen me most of times. I was only able to recover 2 of them and because I told them that there were new developers with many news.

I didn't see some post back, but I didn't understand why 2D x 3D.
In my opinion the two are welcome, as it was said there each has its role, so please do not change this.

I like 3D in principle, I think it has a much more realistic feel to it. But it's only watchable with a perspective similar to the 2D viewer, like stadium camera at 0% height. In other modes the camera movements feel like a rollercoaster ride. Maybe this could be the default mode. It would also be useful to automatically show matches in the last used mode, or include a save button (which was originally there in the 3D viewer, but never actually implemented and eventually removed).

But I agree that the main issue that makes matches unrealistic and unattractve to watch is the match engine, not the viewer.

the biggest problem with 3D viewer is that the camera moves always even if you are trying to see the match in similar perspective from the one that has 2D viewer, (nd many times in the wrong direction) if there is the possibility the camera remain stable in whatever camera type side zoom wants anyone or at least at far choices with the whole field visible maybe it could an improvement for the 3d viewer

They all quit the game because the viewers were "bad"?

Out of all the people that I got to play the game, only one played for a long period, and he was a hattrick user.
He was the only one who actually wanted to play a manager game, and he was blow away just by the existence of the match viewers. He said, "Man, I was watching fucking text in hattrick, now I watch an actual game."
