Great Idea about youth academy

Perhaps the differences between the levels of scout service should be slightly increased:

1. Basic Scouting Network - Weekly Junior Growth 0-4
2. Local Scouting Network - Weekly Junior Growth 1-5
3. Regional Scouting Network - Weekly Junior Growth 2-6
4. The National Scouting Network - Weekly Youth Growth 3-6
5. International Scouting Network - Chance of Getting a Foreigner - 5%

I was thinking along the same lines but I like the overall updates. Now, it's just about merging leagues and making sure that the money is evenly distributed across countries so that everyone can reap the benefits of this equally.

About Training facilities , what if you already has a magical trainer on the youth team, then the new system is implemented, does the trainer can not be assigned to the youth until you expand to level 3 in the Training facilities?.

It will not get rich team richer, its just some fancy things to spend money on for the rich teams. Its intended actually to remove some money from the game.

Scouting department
Level 2 is what we have at the moment.
This is the only thing that actually changes the youth system, as you can be sure that you get at least 3 juniors every week, if you pay :-).
As i have no ties with the country i play in i welcome the possibility to get a foreign junior. Lets see what will be the price for that feature :-P.

Campus
Most of the youth schools will not have to upgrade to level 2. The majority of juniors that come in are useless, so if you have more than 15 promising juniors then you are really lucky.

Analytics
Upgrading this is useless for anyone using SkUnk or any other tracker.
The only benefit would be the highest level, where you dont have to wait and throw the juniors out right away (see above Campus not being needed to be upgraded)

Training facilities
Pretty the same we already have, just adding more expenses.


But dont get me wrong these new features are not bad and i am looking forward to see them, but they do not bring almost any added value.
The thing that needs to improve is the entry level of juniors. I am pretty sure that everyone throws out the level 0, 1, 2 juniors right away.

Lets say he has talent 4 in 32 weeks he will be solid 18yo. You call that a good entry? You wont be even able to sell him.
With talent 3 he would be excellent 18yo. You probably could sell him for a few bucks that would barely cover your expenses training him (junior school + trainer wages).

With talent 3 he can be incredible with 18yo (tragic is only an estimation). And with that talent and a good placement of skills he can be a great player.

I always keep them a few weeks just in case :)

I hope maximal skill of incoming junior will vary on the week of the season. Later in season, higher the maximal skill. There is too much difference between same level juniors that arrive at the beginning and at the end of the season

I think that it refers to the fact that the level and talent (weeks to pop) are two different things to evaluate

So with level 3 the graphic should show a more real curve, not so much pop-down and por-up every week, but real pop-ups according to the talent of the player. do i get it right?

It seems like it is lost in translation a bit, but in the end, I think it just means the coaches ability to accurately determine the youths skill improves.

I don't know if it mean
- Instead of the coach having a 50% accuracy, it is now 60% accuracy
OR
- say a Magical coach gets the accurate skill +/- 3 levels. when you upgrade to level 2, this then becomes, accurate skill level +/-2 levels, then when you upgrade again, it goes to accurate skill +/- 1 level.

The second option above would kind of fit in with the diffferent bonuses per upgrade

I agree with the comments, the only "strategy" will be to pay more to have a better chance to take out a good junior, whereas 3/4 are already weak at the entrance and 90% of the youngsters who come out are saleable at less than 2000€.

No announcement to change the current highly random system, over which nobody has any control, except to pay more to get more luck. It is obvious that the richest clubs (that's what I would do) will pay for all the facilities!

I'm really disappointed, there has been a lot of discussion about juniors, and this whole announcement seems to come out of nowhere, without taking into account the community discussions. And since I've recently summarized all the concerns with the juniors, as I'm too disgusted, I'm doing it again to let off steam!

1) Boring Junior league. un watchable games, the skills are globally too poor and poorly distributed for a descent tactic and live watch. 4-3-3 long balls and runs, done !

2) 90% of juniors are worthless, in and out of school (less than 2k€ in market). Only 5% get talent or skills, and more rarely both. 1-2%. This ratio is huge, we should get a better curve of number of valuable players.

3) The vast majority of schools are in deficit, We can sometimes sell for millions few youngsters, but coaches forget to count all wages for all youngsters as expenses during the (very long) time of training! (in the Young school but also afterwards in the first team). Otherwise, we might as well go directly to the market, it's simpler and cheaper than Young School.

4) Juniors who leaves school at the age of 19 or 20y are for the most part worthless, due to the max limit of young s skills (10), and the linear/age progression system of sokker.

5) Even with an extraterrestrial coach, the evaluation of a junior's progress is near impossible, because of the random "blind" level system. It is necessary to use statistical tools and to have at least 20 weeks at school to get an idea of a junior's potential.

6) Juniors are uncompetitive at start. Juniors cannot exceed 9 to 10 skill levels and just few rare juniors can play at position (good distribution of skills). This means most of the young s have no interest to play in first team, but play for training ! (those boring Friendlies you know ...)
